Frames from Peter Jackson short up

Right here. They’re 8-bit JPEGs, so you’re not seeing a lot of what’s there in the real footage. Jim Jannard has said we might get a couple of TIFF files as well, presumably 16-bit, which would be great for seeing what the sensor can actually do.

A few points:

The codec was designed both for low file size and low CPU utilization. Performance scales almost linearly when adding processors/cores There’s a “half-resolution decoding method”. Might mean ProRes is wavelet.
