Red Tests: Speed Ramping

Ramp from 24 fps to 75 fps over 5 seconds. Shot 2K, one-light grade in RedCine, exported to ProRes and then encoded to H.264 through Compressor. Might want to right-click to download rather than load in browser.

1080p version (have a high-end machine) or 1K version.

That’s Pierce, by the way.

More footage soon.

Am looking forward to more footage. Which lens did you use - is that a Red zoom? The zoom seems a bit uneven, I guess that it is done manually? And no focus-puller, I assume ;)

  3. Chris Kenny Says:

Lens was a Super16 PL-mount Canon zoom. Not sure exactly what model. And yes, no focus puller….

Thanks. Are you using the Birger mount that you talked about previously (http://www.indie4k.com/archives/69), or which mount are you using.

Would be great to hear about your experiences with that mount as well.

Oh, and the last item on my wish-list would be a 4k frame grab - or a 2k one, in case the mount allows “only” for that.

    Cheers and thanks!

We’re still waiting on the Birger mount. Looks like it might be two or three more weeks. Once that shows up we’ll probably use it for the vast majority of our shooting.

We’ll be shooting some 4K material on Monday (probably on Superspeeds). Should have some of that up on Monday night or possibly Tuesday (depending on how late we stay out shooting).
