Our final Red order

Red Package

We’ll be paying a total of $27,662 after our $2500 accessory credit. Notably, the above order doesn’t include lenses or CF cards. We’re planning to buy a Birger mount and use Canon lenses (we’ll rent or borrow PL-mount lenses until the Birger mount shows up), and we don’t see much point in buying 8 GB CF cards when 16 GB cards will probably be shipping in a month or two.

    Will be interesting to see some original footage taken with the Birger mount. What sort of lenses are you planning on using? Fixed or zoom?

    Isn’t 2 batteries a bit on the low side? One of the most embarassing things to happen on the set is to run out of battery power. (Film stock shouldn’t be an issue any longer).

    As far as lenses… we’ll most likely get one or two zooms for general use, with some faster primes at useful focal lengths. I’ll probably be posting fairly extensively about this once the Birger mount arrives.
